Rear: 1601 Pearl

I found this tower very appealing. It is on the edge of old downtown Boulder, which has many turn of the century arts and crafts architecture buildings with decorative roof lines, I thought that this was a good attempt at a modern version of that older style.

When I first looked at the photograph on which this painting is based I thought of editing out the power lines, but actually I like them, the way they randomly chop up an otherwise very angular and orderly space.
