Tethering the Mind
An In Person Day Long Retreat
Sunday, June 11, 2023

Vipassana is often defined as the practice of keeping the mind focused on what is actually arising in each moment. One way to do this is to use the method of "noting", consciously using a few simple words to describe or note what is arising. The noting more tightly "tethers" us to what is predominant in the mind at any moment. The instructions during this day long retreat will help you learn or refine your practice by focusing in this way. The deep states of concentration that arise lead to moments of Insight into the true nature of reality.

This retreat is open to anyone who has a sincere desire to deepen their practice and will consist of instruction, seated and walking practice, and Buddhist philosophy to put the practice into context.
